With unanimous vote, UAE won the bid to host the Special Olympics World Games in 2019.
This great success has been proudly announced today by the Crown Princes of Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
“We welcome the world’s best athletes to the UAE, congratulate Special Olympics leadership on promoting inclusion & tolerance through sport”, twitted HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan.
“We congratulate the leadership, people and athletes of the UAE on our successful bid to host the Special Olympics World Games in 2019. We are delighted to host the Games, which celebrate the determination of athletes with special needs to strive for excellence” , the words of HH Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in his social page.
Special Olympics World Games are recognized by the International Olympic Committee and take place every two years. UAE will receive the baton from Austria, where the Games will be hosted in March 2017.
